Delivering for our local community

Here to Help

Whatever your circumstances, our friendly experienced advisors are here to help. (All our projects are voluntary and won’t affect your benefits). Drop in to one of our offices, or call us for more information.

Building Better Opportunities

Building Better Opportunities (BBO) is for you if you are aged over 25 years, and are not active in the labour market at the moment for whatever reason.

You may have physical or mental illness, disability, caring responsibilities, parental responsibilities for pre-school children - or there may be some other reason why you are not working right now.

We will help you to build your confidence and prepare for the time when you are ready to return to work, through one-to-one mentoring, informal group workshops, and opportunities for building your skills and experience.

All activities are designed to meet your needs as an individual, are voluntary and will be agreed between yourself and your advisor.

Building Better Opportunities is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund through Humberside Learning Consortium (HLC).

Get Set

Get Set is funded to make sure that everyone gets a chance to benefit from the increased job opportunities created as a result of Green Port in Hull.

To do that we’ll provide individual one to one support from friendly, experienced and enterprising advisors, and a direct link to work experience and job vacancies through a local employer network.

Some opportunities are directly related to renewable energy – but there are many other jobs which have been created as a result of the new industry, across a whole range of occupations including catering, office, construction, manufacturing and retail.

Whatever work you’re interested in, we’ll work with you to overcome obstacles - and find a route to achieve your job goals.

The project is open to anyone aged 18 + who isn’t currently working – you don’t need to be claiming benefits.

Get Set is funded by the Regional Growth Fund through Green Port Hull
