Security for vulnerable households

Aim

Probe install home security items devices for residents who are vulnerable and those who have been victims of crime or domestic abuse.

Delivery

We risk-assess properties, and fit appropriate security measures such as door chains, door restrictors, door alarms, spy holes, window locks, window alarms and security lighting.

We also offer services for which we charge, such as providing and fitting key safes. We prioritise elderly or ill people needing access for carers, particularly if they are waiting to be discharged from hospital.

Eligibility

Anyone can self-refer if they feel they are at risk of becoming a victim of crime, with priority given to the most vulnerable households - those with elderly residents, young children, or who have already been victims of crime, and domestic abuse situations.

We also take referrals from DAP, DVAP, ASB, Police and other agencies.
