Forward to work gathers pace with 2 years additional funding.

12/03/2020

Probe’s successful Forward to Work initiative has received a massive boost gaining an extra 2 years funding to help local people into work. The initiative will now continue until 2022
allowing the project to support many more people from the East Hull community, where it is based.

Forward to Work is for people who would like help to find a job, or to access training to improve their career prospects. Probe’s friendly team offers one to one advice and practical help to people aged 16 years or older who are currently not working.

Led by Probe, working in partnership with Hull KR, Greatfield Big Local, and EMS, the project has already helped more than 60 local people move closer to achieving their goals since it started in August last year.

Probe’s Sue Balthazar continues: “The extended funding is testament to the success of the initiative so far, and the fact it has been well received professionally and most importantly with local residents, shows that we are getting it right. The project has delivered some great results in getting job seekers ready for work and into jobs.

Probe has been based in East Hull now for over 20 years, and all the team are committed to providing the best service we can for our community, and for each individual who needs our support. We’ve worked with some great local people and this has naturally contributed to the outcomes we have seen.

It’s always nice when our hard work gets noticed, especially when recognition allows us to support more people in our community. We look forward to making the most of this additional opportunity for East Hull.’’

Probes’ Forward to Work programme is delivered as part of CLLD in Hull funded by the European Social Fund. CLLD puts people living; West Hull & Central, East Hull, North Hull & Orchard Park and Bransholme, at the heart of identifying the needs and challenges facing these communities and considers projects and activities to help to manage them.
