Positive Youth

The key aim of Positive Youth is to support young people into sustainable employment.  Working with young people classified as not in employment, education or training (NEET), Positive Youth offers a menu of activity designed to reduce barriers to employment leading to job placements and ultimately to sustainable employment.

Positive Youth offers support in developing:

• Communication skills 
• Interview techniques 
• CV writing skills 
• Jobsearch skills 
• Personal development and associated skills 
• Employability skills 

Probe work closely with local employers to identify suitable vacancies for young people leaving this programme and can offer a subsidy to the employer to enable them to 'try out' the young person prior to employing them permanently.   Once in employment, Probe's Positive Youth team offer continued support and mentoring to both the employer and the young person.
