Youth in Nature

Part of the Our Bright Future initiative, the Youth in Nature project offers a comprehensive programme of wildlife related activity led by young people designed to inspire and educate.

Giving our young people, aged 11 to 24, opportunities to be involved in engaging with nature and to protect the environment by offering practical activities, getting outdoors, hands-on development of ‘wildlife zones’, days out and campaign tasks.

Youth in Nature hopes to leave a legacy of young people who are committed, informed and influential in issues relating to the natural environment, along with improved access to, and understanding of, nature and wildlife, and ‘wildlife zones’ that will enable both people and wildlife to thrive within our City.

Youth in Nature is a partnership led by Probe, along with Child Dynamix and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, EMS and East Hull Community Farm, it aims to encourage young people aged 11 to 24 years to get involved in learning about, protecting, and improving their local environment.

Are you aged between 11 and 24? We have some great activities going on to help our local environment, and to provide you with new skills, knowledge and experience. For example..

We worried about our son as he was very shy and wouldn’t speak to strangers and never had any friends as he would prefer to stay in... since he joined Youth in Nature at Rainbow Centre we can’t believe the change in him, he’s a lot more confident around people and has met some new friends, he’s absolutely loved it
