History

Established in 1996, Probe is a not for profit organisation operating as a social enterprise.

Probe is located in the heart of the community and has over 20 years’ experience in dealing with a wide number of issues, including those of social exclusion and unemployment. Probe has built a strong reputation as an organisation well placed and equipped to engage constructively with local people and groups through a well-developed network of provision and expertise.

Our experience has encompassed significant programmes related to: supporting people into employment, including intermediate labour markets (ILMs); developing and running services for young people; transforming derelict historic buildings into high quality affordable homes; improving community safety through extensive home security activities targeted at vulnerable and at risk residents; initiatives relating to the environment, growing your own and local food; a whole range of training relating to improving life and key skills.
